RC, what will differences will the rider notice between your orginal OPAS blockoffs and these new Pro-Series blockoffs? Do the new ones work better in conjunction with the sponsons? Thanks.

There is a significant difference between the two. The Performance O.P.A.S. Block-off Kit does just that. Blocks the openings left when the O.P.A.S. is removed. You lose the influence of the O.P.A.S. paddles, but gain some control through predictability being that the paddles are no longer there.

Our Pro-Series O.P.A.S. Block-off Kit is designed to improve handling after the O.P.A.S. is removed through lengthening the hulls planing surface. When cornering they keep the craft from rolling over to much. And in rough conditions they keep slightly more keel in the water improving handling. They were designed primairily for competition use (closed & super course racing).

Both work well with our Pro-Series Sponsons. We haven't tried our Pro-Series O.P.A.S. Block-off Kit with stock sponsons as they were designed for competition use.

Jarrett, seadolover has the new sponsons and they do not scrub any speed. Just handles alot better.

It is the only quality piece on the whole ski.

Just kidding, they work and I am sure you can try at mudbugs. We will both be there and are looking forward to meeting everyone.

I don't have exact numbers, but it isn't much. The improved handling makes up for any loss of straightline speed.

riva crew,,even though its s for competition only. Wink it should still make a dramatic handling difference in all water conditions rite? ive never ridden one without the opas anyway so what should i exspect? i know in really ruff water the rxp can and will catch you off guard when the opas catches ,,,do these pro series opas block offs and your sponsons eliminate most of this?

Removing the O.P.A.S. paddles will be noticeable no matter what type of riding you do and what other modifications you perform. They're designed/intended to influence the handling of the craft. Afterall, their primary function is to assist steering when you aren't applying the throttle. So naturally removing them will affect the craft's handling characteristics.

Our Pro-Series Block-offs actually add influence through lenthening the hull. Being that they don't move their influence is more predictable.

Our Pro-Series Sponsons work the same with or without O.P.A.S. They improve rough water handling and cornering. Our Performance and Pro-Series Block-offs are designed to compliment our sponsons as well as provide predictability in rough water competitive situations.

the rxp being the only ski ive ever ridden with a opas or off throttle steering system,,im thinking it should act like any other ski that dont have them!!!!(when you let off the gas they want turn)?right? well if thats the case thats what im use to ,,ive never been on a ski that will actually turn when you let off the gas ,,so with them blocked off i should feel right at home. Wink
im hoping with the pro series block offs and the pro sponsons it will give the rxp a more gpr handling if you will!! it goes where you point it. Big Grin
