Cool i saw a wear ring on eba that bosted a titer clearance of 2000th,, the tech book shows 35000ths is still in spec. Red Face so if i mechine a ring to 2000ths clearance, will i have less leakage betwine the ring and prop,, if so will this translate t o speed or acceration Roll Eyes ? # 2. what if the stering nossel was sealed at the pump in a way that all the water has to go out the nossal Eek seems to me trying to cram all that water through a reduction some is going back flow betwine the two,, a that just sounds wastful

Most all impelers "flex" a slight bit at high RPM or in heavy torque application. Too tight a clearance will result in the prop scraping the wear ring, resulting in speed loss and possible damage to both parts.
