How much Time was spent actually running these things under normal conditions? I think it is a JOKE that Riva Only offers 30 day warranty on an Item this expensive .. Riva Tech Are you aware of all the problems these things are having with splitting and cracking only after MINIMAL hours Destroying Motors at worst and at best Customers being out 1500.00 ... So whats the deal? Whay are there so many problems with these but not with the RR ones Or the other ones???

If salt water is your response then why dont these come with warnings saying that "chances are you are spending over 1000.00 for an Item that will only last 10 hours if you ride in salt water"

Well thanks for your suggestion But obviously you dont know how many people are having problems with these things ..Im not bashing anybody or anything .. I have spent over 20 k at Riva or on Riva parts in the last few yrs .. I wanna know what they have to say about all the problems with there aftercoolers ...

I still think 30 days is a JOKE on a item that costs so much afterall i spent 12k on my RXp and got 3 years worth of warranty!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So ..How much time was spent testing these things in real riding conditions ..salt etc... Im VERY curious to see if ANY at all was put into an Item that costs Us /we the consumer so much with so lil warranty??

Yes, we thoroughly tested Vortech's intercooler (just as we do with all of our products) prior to its release. This is the same core used in the majority of Vortech's marine and automotive kits.

I haven't heard of any problems with their I/C and I believe I'm reasonably well connected.
Now if you want to talk S/C problems or hull cracking or too rich of a fuel map causing fuel dilution then I'm with you. |

Ive had my RIVA IC since they came out and I ride in salt water with no problem.. I flush with salt away.... Hopefully i havent jinks myself by saying this...

i have one the early ones it only leaks when you let off throtle sent it to riva said it was good do not believe because took off throtle body tube and watch it leak right out off inner cooler, so sending it back does not a bit of good, cause riva feels there customers have a bunch of money and they just dont care have spent lots a of money with riva and now that is very hard tro swollow and still have plastic tubes wich was a flop,thanks for nothing riva, now i am at a stock boat because cannot afford another one thanks riva! any one whant to buy from me sense riva said it was good i dont trust riva.

seadlooover - The IC's in out kits today are the same as those when we released the very first kit. Vortech did not change them in any way.
Our installation instructions have always clearly stated the following:
With the exception of a few, the majority of IC failures we've seen were due wither to corrosion build up or water left in the IC in climates where the temperature drops below freezing. We cannot be held responsible for failure to maintain or properly winterize a craft. And even when the failure is the result of neglect we work with the customer to help them out when replacing their IC. If we were in the business of "ripping you off on your passion" we wouldn't offer a warranty, wouldn't offer a tech support line, wouldn't offer to help out on the cost when paying to replace a damaged core and wouldn't provide a forum for you to vent your frustrations on. If you have proof your IC failed due to manufacturer defect please post it so everyone can see what's really going on. Before posting any further slanderous or libelous remarks I strongly suggest you have the proof I requested. True feelings fall under a much different definition. Especially when used in the context you chose on a public forum.
We tested your IC and dertermined it to be OK. If you have proof otherwise please post it. You say you're speaking for yourself.... "people are very mad and feel liked yhey were ***** by riva" "people are pissed" I may be off base, but that sure reads like you're speaking for others. Our Tech Rep works with everyone to make any situation better, not worse. There's no reason why he would single you out, unless you initiated a confrontation. the proof is that i seen water come out of innercooler which is the throtle body tube because took it off and rode the ski and saw it happen with own two eyes then sent to you and you tell me its good how can i believe you when a saw it with my own two eyes and yes i beleive you are trying to bully me with all your slander bs. so this is how i feel weather you like it or not. just would of been nice to get help than a bunch of excuses fron you.

riva if you feel slanderous i thaught this is public forem to post what we fell guess not when its negative, and yes carring on because am very upset with that prodect. so have a good one riva this will be the last post on this subject with this because its my 1200 hundred dollers not yours riva.

I would just like to say that the intercooler is an aftermarket part and going fast cost money. So my point is that you have to pay to go fast and going fast isnt perfect. Get over it and give Riva a break. If there was a promblem Im sure Riva would have corrected the promblem.
