THE reason I tought I hit the rev. limit I could hit 8100rpm's trimed all the way in or out it didnt matter and I have hit 8100 be fore the mod.I also tryed a 2.5 wedge Iam getting .5deg. machined out it handled real bad even with a work,s intake grate.

Rancart, I've seen a Riva post that said the wedge is designed to be used with Riva's intake grate.

Jarrett,
Do you have a plan for a baseline before you do the install? I'd be interested in what you see as a difference.

What I would like to see would be RPM before and after. GPS would be nice.

Please tell your friend, his friend and his friend's friend that we're still recommending our 2-degree pump wedge for our Stage I Kit. Thanks! Wink

Jarrett, since your local weather (Texas) is so similar to the one at rivas in (Florida) your test should be the perfect example to back up rivas claim of 4 to 5mph increase with this incredible low price stage 1 kit, if everything goes well Mr. Glenn Perry from (PPG) it's goin to the crying for a very long time, trust me Wink Ray

My friend has GTX SC. We installed R @ Ds full kit on it. We found that with pump wedge the ski would not turn at all. We took it off. The ski ran lean with the filter on it. <would die running wide open> We took it off. In those early pictures of the kits I saw a fuel controler. R @ Ds kit needs one. Before the boat would die it was flying. As they all do before they make those funny noises.

This is the reason we recommend you use our Top-Loader Intake Grate in conjunction with our 2-degree Pump Wedge.

For now that problem is eliminated with an aftermarket impeller. Which also helps prevent you from hitting the rev limiter.

Just an FYI - we just completed another series of tests with our Sea•Doo EFI Control Unit development and it works great! A few little tweaks to the settings and dials and we should be able to give the ok for production units. Of course that's easier typed than done with the proper approvals, paperwork requirements, etc. I'll be sure to post when we have a more solid date. Stage II (and III)......here we come!!!! Eek Wink

rancart, Was your plug read with the R&D or the
Riva, and if Riva, was the cover installed. I
have heard the r&d run lean, but no test on the Riva I have on order. I'm in Las Vegas and run on Lake Mead, 100 to 110 degrees now with about 10 percent humidity. RPM with chop about 7750.
Have R&D grate, Works sponsons down. Terry

Riva crew, R @ Ds kit does have a intake grate and prop. However there filter is quite a bit different than yours. Lost the rear storage compartment because the filter is in the rear of the motor.

I dont have a prop yet, so I havent been running
