I got the riva air intake for my RXP in an attemp to get the rpms up a little. I usuall max out at 7850rpms, and it don't matter what the air temp is outside. It turns 7850 weather its 75 or 100 degrees outside.

anyway

I've struggles for 2 hours trying to get the bolts started for the front bracket. the little M5 bolts that attach the intake tube to the bracket. I'm thinking just using a clamp.

also

the gas tank straps. now that the front half of the stock intake is out of the ski, the straps seem to be a little loose. How did you guys tighten them up?

Might want to post this over on http://www.greenhulk.net as well. Lots of RXP tech talk going on over there.

Throw the bolts for that front bracket away and thread a zip tie thru the holes in the bracket and around the power tube.

It is difficult, but it can be done. However, please keep in mind that not only do we not recommend installing our Power Filter Kit improperly, doing so will void your warranty. Just a heads up.

Void what warranty, RC? You are not saying that you don't recommend installing the Riva Power Filter because it voids your warranty, are you?

Do WHAT? RC, are you saying that those of us who bought your air intake have voided our warranties? If so, don't you think this would have been important to tell us before we bought your kit?

The Power Filter warranty. The author posted that it was difficult to install followed by a members suggestion to improperly install it. By improperly installing the Power Filter you will void the warranty we offer.

C'mon guys. Why would I post that we don't recommend installing our products and that they void the warranty.....? Roll Eyes Big Grin

I didn't think you would void our warranties, but your post was not the model of clarity Smile

I guess if you didn't read each post in turn and read only what I posted one could deduce that. Sorry... Frown

I edited my original post to be more specific about what it is I am referring to. Hopefully this will improve my chances of being a better model!!! Razz Big Grin
