Excellent! The warranty for Sea-Doo watercraft is pretty specific. Modify the craft and the warranty is voided.

Thats just Ignorant. Change those damned washers first thing. Screw the warranty.

You might consider an ultra 250 instead.

I would hope it would not void my warenty since i am getting riva parts. I was also looking at the 250 ultra. is it a better ski?

I hear the kawi handles well but is very thirsty.
As far as warranty with the ceramic/steel washer swap, well some dealers will allow it and some won't. Not sure why Riva won't back up their own product though... Don't count on the magnuson act to help you out unless you have plenty of time, patience and lots of money to prove your point. |

We've always backed our products as implied in their warranty. And helped with OE products when we did not have to as implied by the manufacturers warranty. RIVA CREW Please post and ride responsibly!!! |

I'm confused...you say adding Riva washers will void warranty (second post) but in the post above this one you say you back your products as 'implied'. Implied is a qualifying statement that gets twisted within legaleeze.
So if you sell something then that means you back them or don't? I'm not very smart so please spell it out for me - and others. Will prevent frustration and misunderstanding(s) down the road. |

We cover our parts/products under our warranty. Our warranty does not cover OEM parts. This is the norm in any industry. However, as I stated above, we've gone above and beyond to help customers with their OEM parts on more than one occasion.

'the norm in any industry but go above and beyond to help'
Still confused so let me propose a scenario - Riva sells an RXT to someone, they put the RIVA steel washers in to avoid the 'ceramic failure' scare that is running rampant throughout the aftermarket parts circus. That same customer has a SC bearing failure within the standard one year warranty period. Suggested break-in recommendations were followed to the 'T'. No evidence of any other abuse/damage to the ski is evident. Do you cover the bearing failure despite that person installed Riva washers or do you deny the claim? Hope that helps clarify my original question. Like I said, I'm not very smart so please bear with me. Thank you |

The installation of our Heavy-duty Clutch Washers would not affect the bearings, so no we would not be obligated to cover their failure. That's not to say we would not do what we could to help out if that situation were to arise.
I understood your question from the outset. And I'm certain you're a lot smarter than you think. RIVA CREW Please post and ride responsibly!!! |

"The installation of our Heavy-duty Clutch Washers would not affect the bearings, so no we would not be obligated to cover their failure."
So if the bearings failed during the warranty period, you'd deny they claim because the installation of the Riva washers, which by your circular logic is totally unrelated. Hell, I'll just send you a box of money, you send me nothing and we'll cut to the chase. That way, you don't even need to put on your mask and pull your gun - a victimless crime and everybody wins Brilliant...thanks for the honesty!! This message has been edited. Tell us about Rivas stellar warranty on the vortech inter cooler? How many of these 1300.00 dollar units have developed leakes. How many inter cooler only sales of 775.00 dollars have been made.
