I have 20 hard hours of my PX now when do the washers typically need to be changed?

The shaft/clutch assembly should be replaced at 100 hrs (all models), you should change the clutch washers every 50hrs, at 25 hrs check the slip and shim accordingly if using an aftermarket impeller or if you ride hard ($2.00 a set for the shims). Keep a close watch on your rpms, if they start dropping off you should check the clutches. As the water temps begin to increase you will notice a drop in rpms not related to the clutch slipping. Better to be safe than sorry when dealing with the charger spinning at 55,000 rpms........

This is a good rule of thumb that I go by, others including Riva may have a different take on it!!!!

I would change them based on the information you gave in your first post "Hard Riding". I doubt that the dealer actually checked the slip moment when they had it in for service, they would need to pull the charger to test the slip or lock the crank to check it. I simply don’t trust the STEALERS when it comes to the charger, to many bad repercussions involved. The Riva washers are heavy duty and are more reliable... PM me and I can tell you where to send the charger to have this done professionally if your not comfortable, you will need pull it yourself!!

TX i jumped into the PX for the first time this weekend and installed the stage one and a few other things. If you have the basic tools you will be fine. Be sure to:

Label the hoses-i didnt do this 100% and had some issues.

Block all open holes- i thought i dropped a small hose clamp in the SC because i didnt do this.

You will need allen head sockets, 8mm star socket, swivel and extentions.

Take pictures as you go. You can refer to them anytime when you put things back together. This helped me a few times.

Those were my lessons learned. Other then that, its just like working on anything else really.
