Were just out riding my RXP(2005) yesterday. RPM were fine, as usual max. 8150-8200. Without warning RPM dropped from this to 6600. I took the ske to my dealer today, told what had happen...he smiled and said "you have just blown you SC". The engine is now totally taken apart and a lot of spareparts on its way from Canada to Denmark. Warranty will cover all expenses...so far so good...but is this an isolated failure or has other had the same expierience...and if so has Seadoo done anything about???
It's rare for a supercharger clutch to fail so soon. My first clutch lasted 72 hours, but it did not fall apart, it just slipped. It sounds as if yours came apart hence the reason they have your engine disassembled.
Were you riding in rough water and coming out of the water alot?

No - the lake was flat as a pancake. My daughter(9 years) had just been riding the rxp for say 15 minutes with the white key...then I took the rxp for a ride with the yellow key..and then :-(( I saw the internal parts of the my engine and everything was smashed; bearings, krankchaft, oilpump and a lot of other stuff I dont the the amerincan words for. The repair would cost app. 6000 us dollars. At the seadoo dealer the was another engine from a rxt(6 hours old) that was as bad wounded as mine(12 hours old).
I dont know what kind of oil my dealer is using, but as he is an official dealer, I suppose he is using what SeaDoo suggest....but I will investigate Yes is good the is no problems about warranty, but now I have to ride my old lame Yammi...or play chess
Glad your dealer and Sea-Doo are fixing it My SC clutch let go and the dealer refuses to fix it under warranty because it has a Riva air intake and BOV on it. Im screwed because there are no other dealers within hours. so much for warranty.........
