I just bought a 96 xp and am looking for a lil more umph in it. My buddy had a gp800 and it walks away from me and also handles well in the choppy water. Kinda new to this stuff and would like to make it perform a little better i know its not going to be like a new one but any lil add-on ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Stock versus stock the 96 xp should walk a pg 800(gps are turds) but change out props, install flame arrestors, and that should get you smoking him I like the 16/24 skat swirl prop it has better bottom end there I have a buddy with a solas xo that has great top speed but he also has a 85/88 r&d nozzle you may what to look into those, But if you need any help pm me for jetting specs after installing the flame arrestors
