How about RXT-X vs. Stage 2 RXT?

Due to an agreement with the magazines I can't disclose of our test data at this time. They will be doing a feature article on our Stage I Kit which will include radar testing. As for Stage II we have yet to release any performance data. We're shooting for a mid summer release and will post the performance data then.

There's still no performance data on the 215 RXT Stage 2?!?!?!?! That kit's been out for years.

Would I gain anything (speed or holeshot) if I only installed the 15/22R and the power filter kit?

No. This is beacause of the stock intake grate. It's designed to work with the stock prop and air intake. All three of which provide good acceleration, but limit top speed. Replacing the air intake and prop with more efficient parts while retaining the stock intake grate would be like pouring your favorite ice cold beer into a hot mug. Our Top-Loader Intake Grate provides 2+mph top speed alone! However, keep in mind that you must install our Pro-Series Reduction Nozzle in order to take full advantage of the air intake, intake grate and pump impeller modifications. This is because the stock reduction nozzle is fairly large in diameter (87mm). The large size is part of what provides the acceleration of the stock RXP-X. But, it also limits top speed. Our Pro-Series Reduction Nozzle reduces the outlet diameter which increases top speed. The combination of our air intake, intake grate, reduction nozzle and pump impeller modifications are what improve top speed significantly while maintaining the awesome hole shot.

What kind of top speed would I run if I did the stage 1 on my t-x without the reduction nozzle? Would I have to get the impeller re pitched to get the most speed or to get the rpm's down near 8000(best timing)? I run 69.7 stock at 7960-7980...that was with 2 people in saltwater and a half a tank of gas...

You won't see nearly the same gain as with our Pro-Series Reduction Nozzle. This is because of the large diameter of the stock reduction nozzle. Repitching the prop won't do what the reduction nozzle does. We would have recommended doing it if that were the case! Another problem will be top speed rpm. The stock nozzle will allow the engine rpm to rev above 8,000 which will trigger the "soft" rev limiter. Go any higher than 8,090 and you will activate the "hard" rev limiter.

I was just wondering what kind of acceleration loss I would be seeing with the Stage 1 kit, or would it be about the same, because I know with the reduction nozzle I would get better top end but not so much on the lower end. Would it be about the same on the lower end because of everything els in the kit. Thanks

Actually, the combination we recommend in our Stage I Kit provides better acceleration than stock.
