I pulled up to the guy and told him I wanted to see by how much he would take me. Did 2 runs on kinda choppy waters. 1st one he let me go first and never cought up. 2nd one was out of the hole and he left me behind quickly but I cought up after a bit but ran out of space, if I had more space I would have taken him I believe.

I only have my home made intake which lets me hit 8050 rpm on calm waters and 2 bars of gas, and I understand RXT's do better on choppy waters.

Geo, the RXP'S are no match for the bigger RXT'S in "choppy waters", i am still (undefeated) with my stage 2 RXT in this kind of waters, the only ski faster than my RXT in "smooth waters" NOT in the "rough stuff" in my riding area is my neighbour moded RXP (Terminator) but keep in mind that he have more $$$$$ invested in engine mods than me, he have the R/R ECU, PPG solas "tweaked" prop and a custom exit nozzle, while i am still using my stock oem ECU, prop and nozzle, but i am still the KING in the chop Wink

RXPs are nothing but flat water/straight line skis, many slower skis beat them in less than perfect conditions.

Everything 100%!!!

I would love to have Gpr/STX-15F/RXT at one of the mudbugs and have him for lunch with my POS GPR.

Lucky him he only rides at the Combat Zone

I could not agree with you more RXPBoy the RXP runs it's best in 2 to 3' chop, I put 30' on a GP1300 stage 2 in a quarter mile run in the chop.

'04 RXP Stage 1
'05 RXT w/tilt Steering

On what kind of chop? maybe 1" to 2" Wink hahaha Big Grin in riding conditions like this one is the "ONLY WAY" that a Gpr can "hold his own" anything more than that and they are all over the place (caching air) and porposing like a MOFO!!!! KNR, did you forget that i owned one in the past??? aside all the engine and pump issues that I had with mine with less (than 20 hours of use) the main reason that i get rid of mine was because the "extremely poor hook-up" of this hull in anything less than FLAT water....from my own experience and from what i see almost every weekend in my riding area, the only way that a Gpr (it doesn't matter how fast he is) can keep up with a RXP in "REAL" chopy waters like 6" and above is with a good handling package like a skat-track magnum pump, mechanical trim tabs, single bar intake grate etc... but the down side of a "good" rough water set-up like this one is that you would lose a lot of top end speed in smooth water and even with all this hull mods i bet that any Gpr owner would have his "hands full" durring a endurance race vs a moded stage 2 RXT like mine PERIOD!!!!!

ray things have come a long way from when you had your GPR Wink
for sure the the big 3seat skis will out run most if not all the two seat skis in the chop.
i do have a fx140 as well and that thing will run thru chop like a kinfe Big Grin

Ditto Kurt Wink, all this big 3 seaters hulls like the 2 strokes Kawi's STX-R'S, 4 strokes 12F and 15F, the early 2 strokes Yamaha's XLL, XLT'S and new 4 strokes FX 140 and HO series, the early Sea Doo GTX'S hulls and new 4 strokes 4-Tec's and SC RXT'S etc.. (ALL) of them it doesn't matter the brand are very tough to beat in choppy waters.

well more like 300 some other skis.
Oleron had 350 skis on the line, the worst since 98 or 99.

RXPs were never able to follow the pace of most RXTs and STXs, and eventually Rius' GPR but this one is one special rider on one special GPR.

Everything 100%!!!
