Can you please advise me, my 2006 (6 months old) (96 running hours) has sunk 2 days ago in the sea. Lucky I was able to toe it before it completely went in the water. I emptied all the water from the jet and of course the jet was not operating anymore. I took it to the Seadoo dealer (workshop) and after inspection, they found out that the clamps of the exhaust were rusty and broken; therefore the water entered the jet from behind and filled the engine bay. After asking them if it was under warranty, they told me I have to pay for replacing the exhaust clamps and the engine gaskets.
Is it true that these clamps break down every each and a while? Is there a problem with my RXP in particular? or is it common in all 2006 RXPz.
I heard that salt water eats away at everything ont he inside really bad. but i just tore mine down this winter and put aftermarket exhaust on and all the exhaust clamps look brand new but i ride in freshwater.

My RXP almost sunk also. {before it blew up} When I checked it the hose from the pump to the intercooler was installed too close to the engine block and a hole rubbed in it. The bike must of been built on a Friday before a holiday. It was easy to find. Just hooked up a hose and water blew everywhere when I cut it on.
