I had my stock prop repaired and repitch by impros. I notice it has a smooth shiny finish to the prop now that they call it a race finish. Does the smooth finish alone give better gains over the rough finish on the stock prop?

A smooth finish (EG - Solas) helps with top end/high RPM performance. A brushed finish (EG - stock or Skat) provides more for acceleration.
