I've had bad results with a 14/19 impeller and just put the stock one on last night... I noticed that there is a collar ON the drive line that looks like it "somehow" threads back into the rubber sleeve on the end o' the stock prop on my 05 RTX'. I just cant seem to get the collar to screw back into the prop and it just doesn't seem to even want to. .. Any ideas?
Thanks G I've got no "eph" key! 05 RXT 05 Kaw. 12F |

There's a rubber sleeve "around" the outside of the stock impeller cone. The threads are left-handed (reversed). If you left either part of the stock impeller conet on the drive shaft when you installed the Solas impeller that would explain the bad results. The stock cone is to be removed as you are to use only the billet cone included with the Solas impeller.
There may be some damage preventing you from replacing it in the stock impeller. RIVA CREW Please post and ride responsibly!!! |

Yes, it's left hand threads!
Also applying a little silicone to the threads before screwing it back on will help ensure it stays in place. |

Thanks phor the replies.. RIVA, the part I'm speaking uv is the metal sleeve that is on the drive shapht... THe rubber peice came out with the stock impeller and I put it back in, still on the impeller. The only thing lepht is that metal cover (which just looks to perhaps cover where the gears are attached to the drive shapht) and I was just wondering how to connect that. Reverse threads huh? Who woulda thunk it. 05 RXT 05 Kaw. 12F |
