I've had a 2002 GTX LTD since new. Less than 25 hrs. In Spring of 2004 I took it to the dealer for spring service, installation of Solas 11/19 impeller and 2.5 degree R&D wedge. When I picked up the ski the dealer scratched hull with fork lift when moving ski from their trailer to mine. I took ski home, rode 2 hrs. to test it, and returned to dealer to fix hull scratches. Dealer took own sweet time, didn't fix till Nov. of 2004. (Lucky I have other skis.) I'm a tax accountant, didn't have time to get ski in Nov. and dealer said ok. April 16, 2005 I asked dealer to service for Spring. Went to get ski, dealer says crank shaft is broken. Says they've never seen crank break before. They suggest I broke it in 2 hrs of use in past 12 months. Ran perfectly in the 2 hrs. I had it. They say solas impeller could be fault. They installed it. Ski has less than 25 hrs total. Dealer is only one to service ski. Any suggestions, Factory Rep. phone numbers, etc? Dealer in Charlotte, NC area. Any help is appreciated.

Who knew...it's a happy ending after all. Dealer called SeaDoo. SeaDoo rep says manufactruing problem in heat treatment process has caused breaks in crank. Fixed manu process long time ago. However, considering low hours, etc. factory will warranty parts and 1/2 labor. Dealer will warranty other 1/2 labor. All's well that ends well. Thanks.
