With the OPAS removed you must put sponsons on. I'd go with the Riva ones!

What I have found that work in cc racing is when making turns keep you weight on the back and try to turn the kis flat. Do not lean. It is a ski that you have to re learn to ride. I was use to riding my XP where you can lean like you are riding a dirt bike, but not the RXP check out some of my pic from racing below.

*****The same thing happened to my stage 2 RXT when I removed my oem opas system and installed the aftermarket block-off kit, now my boat doens't turn at all*****

**Sorry, i think that I have bad news for you my friend, i already have the Riva sponsons and Riva intake grate on my boat and neither one helped much to solve this issue, the only way to regain the same turning hability as before is to remove your opas block-off kit and put your oem opas system back in the boat.**

I hope sponsons will solve my problem !! I was really happy without OPAS and not intending to put them on, but from the other side I lost handling in Closed Course Frown

Ask Cane Cahill if the sponsons will improve handling with OPAS gone.... he is winning closed course events all over the country with his RXP, OPAS gone and Riva Sponsons. Big Grin

Cane is using the Riva Sponson and the new block off's. That is who I talk to at the races about the RXP handeling. i took his advice and I was able to make some quicker turns. I was trying to ride it like my XP but you cant. Keep you weight on the back of the ski and try not to lean forward in the turns that will cause the back of the ski to slide. When i practice it some I fell in the foot well of the ski it bit harder that I though. check out some of my pic below

yes, I think the new one will help in the handeling, but if you race ccwitht hem on according to the APBA rules you have to run Limited class. The reason is they are in the class as adding trim tabs to your ski. I am running in the 12000 stock but I will be running both 1200 stock and 1200 limited the next race. The reason y is, two of the guys that ran in the 1200 stock class were also running in the limited class and i pull the limited skis ever time of the line in my last three races. Try this link
