last weekend i got a rock in my prop and wrecked it, while i was looking underneth i fliped the ski and filled it with water it got waterlocked so i towed it stright back to the dealer. ok so today i put it in the water by the dealer they drained the water foged the motor changed the pluges and oil 3 times changed the prop and pump liner so i took it out today and the ski wont go past 7460 rpm's rode it all day 2 tanks of gas and no luck 7460 was top rpm any idear whats wrong.... we double checked the part number they put the right stock prop back in.. but the motor feels real strong could there be a chance that if some of the eletronics got wet that the guages are not reading correct the tach reads 7460 rpm and 62mh tops,,, thanks rxp-x 08

Check the supercharger. Make sure the inlet and outlet hoses are connected. Maybe even do a slip-clutch test.

no good news yet i dont understand the part that broke is the water reducer that controls the water into the exeust and it was allowing double the water into the exeust, now when i saw were this piece is its located up top in the back above the pump it comes out of the hull, so i said how the hell did this break it has nothing to do with me getting a rock in the prop. the guys at the dealer i have been freinds with for 25 years i bought my first jet ski from them when i was 13 and i have had 11 skies from them so i said look im not going to point fingers but when your guys took the pump apart they must of broken it so anyhow the part was not in and i did not test it will b ready by wed just hope that id the problem...

7,950 isn't bad. Like I've posted in other threads, 8,000 is ideal. Do you have a GPS to verify speed?

Hopefully your claims adjuster doesn't read our forums!!! Razz

well i used it all weekend without a problem i was dead even running next to my brother in law ski but my rpm did not go over 7850 and when i ran his it would say 8000 to 8040 same gas amount and same trim position i wonder if when i got water in it, it might have done some thing to the rpm eletronics. anyway i opened up the ski and rechecked everything after the i got it back, all hoses were tight and everything seemed right. well we only have few more weeks to ride here in ny so i wont go crazy after the season as i get ready to modify the ski i will have everything taken apart the clutch and supercharger and so on and have it all rechecked..

You may have water in the intake going to charger as well as pull the coils as there may be water in the holes.
