The info on all of the kits indicates 92+ octane requirements. For the Phoenix area, that would require mixing some 100 octane/race fuel each time I run, since the highest octane available at the pumps is 91. What happens with 91 octane fuel......performance degradation, or problems?????

Good question I live in California all we have is 91 except for the fueling stations on the water where they charge $4.00 a gallon for 92

Any thing over 91-93 is a waste of yor money. It will yeild NO extra performance unless you have internal engine mods, such as a higher compression than stock. The RXP engine is designed to run at peak performance with 91-93 octane with is current compression.

Riva,

I called you guys about the power cooler for my '04 GTX SC LTD and am getting conflicting stories about the power cooler and rear exhaust. One person said it won't work and another said it would. If it is compatable, why isn't it listed on the web site? It only references the RXT and RXP. I was told Riva is waiting for the correct impeller before recommending installing the power cooler and the impeller from the Stage I kit will have to go.

Yes. And so does the Rear Exhaust Kit.

I updated my reply regarding compatibility on the first page of this thread as I did not provide enough information initially.

We know that our Power Cooler Kit will fit up correctly. However, we have not tested the Power Cooler Kit with the 185hp, non-intercooled supercharged engine and cannot offer if it is safely compatible due to differences in engine, electrical and pump components.

So, at this time we are not recommending our Power Cooler Kit for `03~04 GTX-SC models.

However, our Power Cooler Kit will work with `05 model GTX-SC Limiteds as they are equipped with the same engine as the RXP & RXT (215hp intercooled supercharged engine).

2 questions.

Am I correct in seeing that the intercooler comes with a BOV, so if I plan on doing the intercooler in the near future (like June), then I should hold off on buying your BOV (redundant purchase)?

The Solas 15/20 impeller...I currently have the 14/19 that's been repitched. Can I repitch it again to achieve what the 15/20 will do or am I out another $200 and change?

Look at me Hulk, how can I be your sponsor when I'm already beyond what I said I was going to do? Christmas doesn't have to come only one time a year, but only once that the wife knows of.

The Power Cooler Kit does come with a Blow-off Valve. You won't need our Blow-off Valve Kit after installing it.

However, if you ride a lot I recommend you purchase our Blow-off Valve Kit (new or used) rather than waiting. It's a very simple and inexpensive insurance policy for your supercharger clutch. I'm sure you'll be able to sell it when you no longer need it. You can even use our forums to do so. Just be sure to read the following before doing so.

Just a quick update on our Stage II Kit and its performance to date.

As of this past weekend Kane Cahill has raced our test RXP with the prototype kit in 4 closed course events (2 motos per event), four supercourse events (2 motos per event) and a dash for cash event; winning all but two motos.

We've hosted two magazine tests where the editors put both of our test units through their paces.

Other than removing and replacing some of the primary components when writing installation instructions we haven't had to replace any RIVA components nor redesign any due to failure or concern of failure. Infact, the only thing we've had to replace is fuel! Wink

How soon are you recommending waiting before installing a stage 1 kit? I have a new RXT-haven't had the pleasure to run it yet but hope to this weekend.

There's no reason to wait. We sell plenty of new craft that are modified before the ever leave the shop.

The SRX-CD-15/20 impellers in our RXP Stage II Kits "RIVA Exclusive" models that are run through a pitch block as the last step before being boxed to ensure pitch accuracy.

They are straight out of the box. We don't make claims with results obtained by using "tweaked" versions of the products we offer. That wouldn't be to smart on our part. Or ethical...
