Can anyone give me a good reason "not" to install this on my '04 GTX 4TEC SC LTD. I like what I have read about the Block-off Kit and am seriously considering it. I know there are plus and minuses to everthing but am swaying more towards installing the Block-off Kit.

We don't recommend it for recreational riding and/or if you let inexperienced people operate your craft.

You will be better off going with our Competition O.P.A.S. Block-off Kit. This keeps the fins up all the time so they will be somewhat effective in the event a situation arises where steering assistance is required.

I recommend it for rec riding Wink
It will make your ski feel 200 pounds lighter and alot more playful.

Does the 04 GTX SC Limited have OPAS that raise and lower? I thought that was just pre-2004 skis.

Thanks GH, I sort of figured you'd give that response.. Smile I could not remember where you posted something a few days back about recommending the removal of the O.P.A.S. Hmmm, what did everyone do prior to O.P.A.S??

Riva also made a good point about rec riding too. Guess I will ride another month before I decide. I guess the good thing about adding the Riva Block-off Kit if I go that route is that it won't be much of a dollar loss if I go back to O.P.A.S. Thanks for the honesty Riva and not just trying to make a sale.... Wink

OPAS has got to go. I love the RXP without it. Loosens it up a bit. Needs it.

I have an 06 GTX Limited. I am currently putting on all RIVA.

- Pump Wedge
- Intake Grate
- Sponsons

I really don't know what to do with regard to the OPAS.
Should I just Block them up (Competition KIT),
or totally remove and Block off? Exactly how unstable will the ride be if I only
block them up, given the other handling mods I mentioned?

Thanks in advance
