Is water induction an issue with this intake system? Is it recommended not to use it in the choppy water?

Here's a link to the product page information. Click here. We state that our Pro-Series Power Filter Kit is not recommended if you ride in heavy surf. For that we recommend our Performance Power Filter Kit.

The rear intake system is well protected being that it's in the very rear of the craft, under the seat latch and behind the grab handle. Not to mention there is a pre-filter element covering the opening. Must have been some pump wash to drown your engine.
