I was reading your page on the Power Filter Kit for the RXP. In your note it states that "It will be necessary to upgrade your stock impetter to a steeper pitch when using the filter kit". I live in colorado where we install a high-altitude prop for our elevation. Will I be ok in adding the filter kit without changing the prop pitch? What happens if I don't change the pitch and add the kit anyway?

Are there any other performance products that won't do me any good becuase of my elevation or vice versa, are there any that would provide me an advantage?

When we raced in Denver we always went to a taller prop as compared to anywhere else in the country. I'm inclined to say the same is true in this case too. But, I'm not sure what pitch exactly. The Solas 14/19 we recommend when running our Power Filter Kit at sea level may only need to be tweaked some. Then again, you may need an even taller prop. Solas offers a 15/20 which we recommend for our Stage II Kit. But, that may be too tall! Have you tried contacting our tech rep directly or one of the more prominent "prop shops"? They may have a little more insight obtained from customers they've worked with. I personally don't know of anyone running our Power Filter Kit at altitude. Sorry...

If you try it all it will do is hit the rev-limiter.It will not hurt the motor at all as long as you fix it as soon as you find out.If you have a high altitude impeller now I would say it will need to be repitched.What rpm's do you see now?
