first post big problem

ok so me and some buddies were out on my sea doo, and we were pullin the tube behind and the whole time i was driving i made absolutely sure everyone knew to watch the rope in the water and make sure it doesnt go under the sea doo cause it would %..&@ something up. so my turn came to go on the tube and i let my friend drive. before i got on the tube i told him again to watch the rope to make sure it doesnt get sucked into the grate or impeller. so im on the tube for a few minutes, i fell off a few times and got back on and we got going again no problem. but the last time, i was gettin back on the tube a little ways back from the ski, and my friend starts it up and forgets to look where the rope is. the rope was under the ski, not even a second later it gets sucked into the grate and im being pulled towards the ski on the tube and the rope is being sucked down under the ski. i yell for him to kill it and it takes him a second to hear me and shut it off. he shut it off right as the tube hits the side of the ski and after all the rope got sucked into the intake grate. right away i knew that something was gonna be trashed. so we swim it into shore and walk it over to the trailer and i put it on and we head home. when i get home i look under and there all the rope is wrapped tight as hell around the drive shaft. so i take the intake grate off and have to cut the rope with a knife to get it off, it was impossible to just unwrap it. so i get it all off and the short ammount of time that the motor was running before he shut it off had caused some grooves to be cut into the hull right were the drive shaft comes out of the engine compartment. (il take a picture tomorrow) and there was a lot of rope missing, im guessing it went through the impeller.

well ever since that happend whenever i give the ski some throttle from anything below 15 or 20 mph, the engine revs up but the ski doesnt go any faster and it shakes and vibrates violently. is this cavitation or is it something else? this never happend before he sucked the rope into the engine. do you think this is related to my friend sucking the entire rope up through the intake grate? if so what should i do because it never did this before that happend and now when i go to give it throttle from 15 mph it just revs up and starts shaking. but if i ease into the throttle its fine, its just when i open it up from lower speeds it shakes and vibrates and doesnt go anywhere. i never had this problem before the rope incident.

what do you guys think? or could this be related to the plugs or misfiring or something like that?

Sounds to me like you trashed your wear ring. Climb under your ski and shine a flash light onyour prop. There's a white plastic wear ring that the prop sits in the middle of. Look for gouges and so fourth. If this isn't the answer, post this on the greenhulk.net website and you will get alot of responses. Hope that helps.
