OK guys. My dad and I both love every assspect of the RXP except for the weight. We both love to jump wakes and are used to our featherweight (compared to newer boats) wave venture 1100. How is the Rxp for major air wake jumping. (like 6 or 9 feet out of the water or so) We both love to go big. If you've got any big air pictures of RXP's you can post them too. We would love to see.

against popular belief, the RXP can jump. I've jumped waves at the intlet in Destin already and gotten decent air. The problem with these 4 Tecs is they have the TOPS system (tip over protection system) So if you get verticle, that comes in to play and your ski starts bogging out. I havent noticed that problem with the Rotax Racing ECU though... hmmmm!

How does if feel in the air. is it neutral like my 1100 or is it like the GP12(3)00R's that I've ridden that if you hit the throttle much they will try to spin over and dive on ya? Part of the fun with the 1100 is that it's so nutral in the air. It's more like my Dirtbike or Snowmobile.

I live in San Diego i do most of my riding in ocean. We had some 6 to 7 ft swells roll in last saturday and believe me the RXP will get vertical. I havent had many issues with the TOPS only two occasions I can remember bogging out . But that was with some serious air.Just put the trim up and hit the gas and you will fly

I went jumping with my RXP last year. The TOPS was screwing with me too! I was only getting 5-10 foot air, and landing nicely. I had planned to override it, but never got around to it.

It felt like a soggy rev-limiter, and took a second or two to clear out.

It really killed the fun factor.

I will say the tops sys affected me last yr several times

So if you can over-ride it with a new Revv limiter or whatever hulk said a few posts back then which one isbest, warrenty voids?, cost?, that would gimmy a bit more on top in theory too right?

We go out of Seward Alaska, to jump, on a good day the rollers come in at ten to fifteen feet. Some times we can clear the middle one and land on the back side of the third wave, if you hit the face you do a yard sale, If the RXP goes to virtical the engine will start to cut out. It is the oil sencer thinking the RXp is turned over. But they can fly, and being heaver if your short on a wave sometimes you can make it throw it.

Its hard to make a ski do everything if your planning on only wake and surf jumping maybe you should look at some smaller models xp,wb760 they seem to handle the surf in every way
not trying to change your mind but there will be days that the big sets will come in and big ski's are just to heavy to bail or hold onto
having a big ski turn over and become beached is one hell of a effort to get back into the water after swimming back and being smashed by a couple of sets on the way in
smaller ski’s are better because you don't have to bail and can easily deep water start them and jump high spin twist and roll them

I've been very happy jumping with a 99 Ultra 150

i jet ski on lake michigan and hit swells about 8-10 feet. dude it is unreal especially since you have on throttle power and no lag. its perfect for jumping but make sure you take the number plate thing off. it looks so cool but is by far the most anoying thing on the jet ski next to the thumb throttle. but yeah teh rxp handles waves incredibly.
