I met a guy out here in oceanside and we went wave jumping, he was on an rxp, yes they are fast but we think his supercharger came apart. Luckily we were close so I didnt have to tow him too far. He si a nonracer type, just has the cash. Im not sure on how many hours are on it Im guessing 10-15. All of them in the surf. Ill try and get some pics together. He gets that beast pretty high out of the water.

you can test it by removing the hose that goes in the SC 3" hose there is a nut (on the 4tec it is 17mm) in the middle, to do it right you would need to remove the head or find another way to lock the motor, put a tork wrench on the nut and turn clock wise on the SC it should not slip below 60 inch not foot pounds of pressure the range I think is between 60 & 100 inch pounds I am not sure about the RXP I am hoping to have mine back this week if this does not work SeaDoo said they will send a new SC out they should have this time but they said to try it one more time

I guess they will soon come up with a safety sticker saying
"this vessel is not meant for salt water use, if you meet wind ripple on your lake stop immediately and wait for the water to flaten down before starting again.
In extreme cases use your learning ski to make it back to the land"

Maybe Kawi should put on their hull:

Do not use in rough water or racing. Hull may delaminate.

Carly, we have "EXACTLY" the same issue with one of the 6 RXP from our riding area, after a couples of "visit" to Power Zone shop in your area (in the first one the techs said that "the boat was running perfect" Wink but the real deal was that the boat was turning only 6,500 to 6,600 peak rpms (this was the only RXP from the bunch that i was able to beat with my out of the crate 15F) so he returned again with the boat the following week and started to threatened them with lawyers, lawsuit and demand a full refund of his money but at the end his aggressive attitud pay off because in the sudden they find the issue Wink they replace the stock ECU with a new unit and the boat began to run as strong as the others.

The sky is falling.

Oink! Oink!

saw my service manager at the river last week While he was testing a boat he repaired and he informed me that 2 of the 8 RXP,s they sold so far this year were back in the shop for Extended service due to the fact the Ceramic parts in the SC failed. They were run on the prescribed oil and he indicated the Ceramic Particles were sucked into the engine and now they have to Yank - Clean and re-install the engines? Has anyone else seen this? As a Past owner of 11 Sea Doo,s I hope this does not become a problem with the RXP,s or 04 GTX SC,s?

one year, one fix, customer and problem swept under the carpet...replace at your own cost.

Why would I want to compare failures? Anyone with half a brain knows how many problems that the SD crowd have. I have a list I refer to...it's that long.

But Kawi aint perfect, and they tend to treat customers like an annoyance.

Dude you'd be delighted to deal with the European importers, from all the brands, they really treat you better, maybe because over there a ski is 20ks...

Carly, yesterday i had a very long phone conversation with (Exor) the guy from the town of Guayanilla that bought my moded raider and also the owner of one of the only two Riva Yamaha superstock Gpr's boats here in our island, and i was surprised when he told me that the people from your own riding area (east) like Joseph, pichi and some others were goin to highjack your racers Roll Eyes ARE YOU AWARE OF THIS????? what is goin on between you and all this guys??? it seems to me that some of you take this sport/hobbie to seriously some times... i am very sorry to hear this dude, about me i also can't make it to the races this next weekend, not because i have something against you, is just that i have a date with a pretty chic that i meet last weekend in (boqueron) she is from the town of Bayamon and looks exactly like our local T.V. model (taina) she have the same perfect body Wink so i will be very very busy this next weekend hahaha Smile sea ya, Ray
