Dude, i won't denied that i am turning a lot of heads with my kawi 15F lately, maybe is just because mine is the "only" one on my riding area or maybe is my complete slipery when wet uniform and life vest matching the same colors of my boat (black, white and red) or maybe the countless hours of hard work at the gym 5 days a week finaly is giving me some payback Wink anyway what ever the reason is i feel a lucky guy Smile Ray

Hi Carly, sorry for the delayed response, I was out of town for a while (i am still in vacation) I am sorry to hear that your buddy boat has some issues with his pump, our moded boat is still working absolutely perfect BUT i was told yesterday that one of the "Wild bunch" as you know we have 6 RXP in our riding area in the sudden lose power and remind dead in the water with absolutely no spark, this happened when they were coming back from a very long trip from the island of (Culebra) to the town of Naguabo I tell you something bro, all THESE GUYS ARE NUTS!!!! after they towed the boat to shore the ski was diagnosed at the same spot by the best watercraft tech from our area (Junior) owner of junior watercraft racing shop, RESULTS....the stock ECU went!!!! Frown i am very sorry for him (Sammy) this is the worst time during summer time to have a break down with a boat, the 4 of july hollyday weekend is just around the corner Roll Eyes BUT maybe he get a little lucky this time and my buddy (Malvin) the owner of our moded boat (Terminator) lend him his stock oem ECU (he got a aftermarket Rotax Racing unit installed on his boat) and this way he can avoid to have his boat a few weeks in Power Zone repair shop, Ray

Mr. mick, if i wear a wetsuit in our almost all year long "heat soak" mid 90 to sometimes 100 deg. wheather i get MELTED!!!hahaha Smile when i talk about my complete slippery uniform i meant my, slippery long sleeve rash guard, board shorts, gloves, boots, life vest etc.... i also have 3 complete uniforms with different colors like you BUT the big deal here it's not exactly the uniform it is the guy who use them Wink the uniform itself can't do MIRACLES!!! there are some rules to follow if you want to grab some attentions from the chicks, number one, you need to have a good sex appeal appearance, for this is a MUST to have ALL your hair in place, (Sorry ferchita, there is no room for you here) Big Grin second you need to practice some type of sports like cycling, joggin, weights and take some aerobics clases like i do durring the week so at the end after all the sweat and tears you can gain a good looking lean body (fat free) like mine (try 150 pounds and size 30 waist line) and third the last but not the least you need to ride a KAWASAKY!!!!

Hi there guys...as an Australian resident running unleaded fuel and already owning a Yami FX-140 we are thinking about upgrading (down? Roll Eyes) to an RXP.

Your thoughts? Havent read forums for a little while so out of touch with the current models around. See there are some issues with the RXP...

Your thoughts...and given Australian conditions and type of unleaded fuel would that make any difference.

Comments appreciated in helping us decide....cheers.

Hi dude, in my opinion the new sea doo RXP is a wonderful boat, if you are race oriented guy (like most of us in this board) and you are looking for a boat that offer the best of everything in one single package (great acceleration, midrange power and a very good top end speed with great fuel efficiency "at crusing speeds" then this is the boat for you hands down Wink but of course like any other boat out there this boat is far from perfect and some people complain about a very wet ride (a easy fix with a good aftermarket splash guard) some say that the boat feel "funny" in rough water conditions (surf) (but this is another easy fix with the instalation of a good aftermarket handling kit that brings a good set of sponsons, intake grate, ride plate, prop etc.. psss Riva have one kit already for this boat and is goin to be available very soon with the aded bonus of a 5 mph increase in the top end so bro don't wait any longer GO FOR IT !!!!

We also use unleaded fuel here in our island, one is the (regular) that comes with a octane level of 87 to 89 (depends the brand) and the other one is the (premiun) that comes with a 91 to 93 octane level, we always use the premiun type in all of our boats just to be in the safe side, Ray

Thanks Ray appreciate the feedback....sounds good...anyone else out there with opinions regarding the RXP....understandably I would be a little apprehensive because of the apparent SC probs but seems to be the odd person at this stage not a consistent prob.

Could anyone elaborate? Thanks forum.

Hey ausfx140, I can give you my experience - I own a FXcruiser HO and 2 GPR's and the RXP is a great all around ski, it's fast out of the box, has good range with it's 4-stroke engine, generous storage area, loaded with features like a reverse, mirrors, variable trim, numerous digital readouts and responds well to mods. (70mph w/ only Riva powertube + filter) I've had no problems and believe much can be attributed to the way a PWC is rode and maintained. At one time I owned 3 GPR's and amidst all the controversy over power-valve problems I can tell you that I never had any failures. Again, with emphasis on the maintainence. (The 2001 GPR I ride the most has 253 hours on it.) I'm very happy with my RXP. Hope that feedback helps.

WestPalm GPR.

I love ya man, but don't kid yourself! You have been very lucky. Yes, "Preventative Maintainence" helps. However, all these skis have issues regardless of maintainence.

You know why? They are the top-dogs, brought onto the market in a mad rush to get our money. It's as much our fault for snapping up the latest-greatest-fastest TOYS, as it is THEIR fault for releasing half-tested ideas.

The PV's, cranks, pistons, cat-cons, pump tunnels are real Yami problems. The same can be said for Kawis Delaminating hulls on the stxr or the SeaDoo's XPL's or the Kawi ZXi1000 and Yami Raider doing left handed turns, or Polaris cranks out of round or stator failures, or Tigershark lack of quality, or Blowers on RXP's and SC's. In short we are riding the crest of the performance waves...you are going to fall off every once in a while.

The whiners about SeaDoo quality or Kawi quality, or Yami quailty should sell their toys and take up basket weaving. Big Grin

But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
