If you pull the motor you can forget warranty the work needs to be performed by a seadoo dealer. They are really strict about that and especially that type of repair. If you dont like there work go somewhere else. Just trying to help you out. If you pull that motor I highly doubt any seadoo dealer will try to waranty that for for you because that is big no no.

i wouldnt be surprised piper, i was in the 2006 thailand kings cup,an rxt had engine failures and the hungarian mechanics were surprised to see the valve came of and got somehow stuck welded in the top of the piston its like a quartr was standing in the middle of the piston and it was like welded there. wow. what an experiance.

Yea.... I don't think yanking the motor and taking it in would turn out well.... If I was the dealer I wouldn't warranty it out. For all I would know as the dealer would be the ski blew up and the motor failed because of it.
Don't yank the motor.... take the whole ski in.
