hi, I have a seadoo gti 2000, and today I changed the engine from 720 cc (due to broken connectingrod) to a 580 engine. sound weird, and it is....
the thing is that I had this 580 brandnew in the box (seadoo original),and I thought it is worth a tgry to install this engine.
all installed nicely, seadoo 580 is original with 580 head and 580 single carb.
the GTI is going to be used by my kids, so I am happy with the downgrade in power..
now I know that the original impeller will be way overkill,as it was designed to push the boat with a 720 ,and not with a 580.
what impeller recommendation would there be for my setup ?(I still have an original gts 1993 impeller ,and also a brandnew skattrak 13/21 impeller.
hope to get some suggestions,,
regards

For all 580 equipped Sea-Doo models Solas recommends a SD-SC-
* A = 13/18
* B = 14/19
* C = 15/20

I don't know that I would go with a Skat for your application. While they are great impellers, they're known for their "bite", which provides better acceleration. That might put more strain on your 580 than it wants!
