Is 7740-7800rpms normal for a 2007 RXT? Its at 72hrs and I noticed the stock numbers are about 150rpms higher. I guess its not that much of a difference. I just did a baseline last weekend since I'm putting a Stage 1 kit on in a few weeks, those were the numbers. Water temperature was 84 degrees and humidity was around 80%, flat to light chop, less than 1ft.

Those numbers are too low. First thing to check is the slip point of your supercharger clutch.

The procedure is outlined in the engine shop manual for 4-TECH engines. Click here and order part# 219100258.

Sorry, but your dealer is incorrect. The right rpm is 8,100 for stock and our Stage I Kit. You're down over 200rpm. That means you're down on top speed.

Question for the RIVA Crew on this topic:

I have a 2006 RXT w/28 hrs; I installed a Stage 1 kit, the Vortec supercharger impeller and the blow-off valve kit.............. I basically top out at 69 mph and acheive appx 8000 - 8020 RPM. Does this sound right to you? I had the components installed at a Sea Doo dealership and it runs well, I guess maybe I expected more having added the Vortec impeller and blow-off valve. What would you estimate my HP to be with these add ons?

The hp increase is minimal. What that kit does is free up the air intake allowing you to utilize an impeller with a steeper pitch. That's why the rpm is the same for stock and our Stage I Kit.

The SC Impeller increases boost resulting in more bottom end and mid range. The Blow-off Valve is a preventative measure. Neither improve top end speed.

Your top speed is right on as far as what we advertise. You're rpm is off, but not "that" far off. There are a lot of variables involved. You might need to play with the impeller pitch in order to achieve the ideal rpm of 8,100.

Are you using a GPS to measure your speed or the stock speedometer?

Regarding the stage I mods to the RXT, does the new air filter/duct work have an increased chance of sucking water into the supercharger. I've spent the past 10 years riding '96 XP and sucked more than my share of water down through the carbs.
Also, I am more interested in hole shot than top end speed (I like doing donuts and jumping off waves). Which prop would work best for this?
