Looking for little info. I have a 2008 wake 215 I feel it runs good 70 degree water with runs right off trailer will run 8020-8100rpms 65.5-65.8mph all my friends with 215s I can pull away from.My thought is would impeller free flow air filter and what be the best choice. I do not know what the wedge would do if the boat already has trim. Plus what would the intake do for speed the water is usually fairley smooth. Also I have to keep in mind my sons love to ride wake boards so I do not want to hurt unit for what I bought it for orriginally. However would love to be able to nail it and run with 255s.Also not fully understanding heat soak and why boats fall of so bad.Can discuss in next post.

Welcome to our forums!
I wouldn't suggest the pump wedge being that you stated your kids love to wake board. I would suggest the following: Those three items are inexpensive, easy to install and will help a lot when it comes to initial acceleration, mid-range power and top speed. This will help with both towing and general riding! Heat soak is a common issue. To help you reduce the amount of performance loss due to heat soak we offer a Thermostat Kit that reduces the engine operating temperature by as much as 30-degress fahrenheit. It's a little involved to install, but we do include detailed installation instructions and a special tool to help remove the stock thremostat. If you're mechanically inclined you shouldn't have a problem installing it. If it's in your budget I definitely recommend you install it. This message has been edited.
