I have 4 hours on my new RXP-X, I took it out today and heard a pop or thud and the supercharger is no longer engaging...rpms max out at 6100...has to be the clutch slipping...any thoughts?

Figures...I just ordered a stage 1 kit this past Friday...go figure.

Anyone else have this happen to them? I had the same thing happen on my 05 RXP when I got it.

Thank God for warranties!

It could be anything. The superchargers are pretty stout on the X-boats. I'm assuming you're taking it back to your dealer; if you already haven't?!?!

I took it to the dealer, was the supercharger outlet hose...got disconnected. Wish I had noticed it or looked for that matter.

The craft must have been assembled on a Friday...lol.

At least it was something simple and easy to fix. Thanks for the follow up post. It could help others that run into this same scenario. Enjoy!

Check the hoses connected to the supercharger, intercooler, and intake manifold for disconnection. It is my understanding that during the assembly process BRP utilized some type of lubricant to be able to easily slip these hoses into place. With the X machines the supercharger boost pressures would possibly be high enough to blow the hoses loose due to the lubricant (this has been reported in other forums). Simply clean the "goop" of the hoses and reattach......, If you are uncomfortable or unfamiliar with mechanical "know-how" you should simply take it back to the dealer for inspection/repairs...
