Here are some common questions about our Stage I Kits and their individual products followed by answers.

Will the RIVA Power Filter Kit cause my engine to run lean and possibly create engine damage?
No. We developed the Power Filter Kit on our Dyno using a variety of sensors to detect detonation and fuel delivery levels. We found the stock fuel map was rich enough to accept more air without creating a dangerous lean condition. We do have the ability to add more fuel than the stock fuel map provides via our EFI Control Unit. But it is not necessary for our Power Filter Kit alone or complete Stage I Kit. The controller will be utilized in our Stage II & III Kits (currently in development) when additional modifications are performed on the engine.

As an added precaution we've run both of our RXP test units extensively on the water to ensure the reliability of our Power Filter Kit. Test unit #1 has over 50 hours on it to date. Several of which were lengthy closed course races with Kane Cahill winning last weekend's St Petersburg round of the Hot Water Tour!

We would like to point out that using fresh, premium grade fuel (92+ octane) is very important to the longevity of supercharged motors. This applies to both stock and modified craft. We were informed by Sea•Doo's technical service department that numerous supercharged engine failures were the result of old, low octane fuels.

How did RIVA determine the performance data for their Stage I Kit impeller prior to its release?
Our Performance Development Team works closely with both Solas and Skat-Trak to develop impellers for RIVA Performance Packages. The SRX-CD-14/19 prototype was approved by our staff after extensive testing on our lake and is in production. We expect to receive impellers on or around 8/25/04.

Have any PWC Magazines tested/reviewed RIVA's Stage I Kits?
Yes. Josh Burns of PWI magazine was here recently to test both kits. We can say that he left here very impressed. Look for the upcoming article in the next issue of PWI! Wink
